As the name suggests, the good life is to be found here at Dolce Vita in Bamford, and this popular Italian has been delivering excellent food and service for more than 20 years. The menu has been recently updated to reflect changing eating habits -- Classic Italian Vitello Milanese remains unaltered but may now be served with fresh vegetables or salad instead of the spaghetti al pommodoro of days gone by. Caesar salad, Linguini with clams, penne puttanesca and fusilli Alfredo are just some of the dishes re-emerging on this menu. The starter menu now has the addition of a popular antipasto dish of salame, Parma ham, mortadella and pecorino cheese. The pizzas are one of the highlights on the menu, in that they are thin based and cooked perfectly, with a range of toppings to suit every taste bud -- 100% mozzarella, tomato, rocket, Parma ham, parmesan shavings, Cumberland sausage, bell peppers, anchovies, sun-blushed tomatoes and salame, to name a few. The specials menu changes frequently and incorporates seasonal produce, and varied fish dishes of the day. Music nights, bring an almost holiday or special atmosphere to the restaurant, and are advertised in advance, so it’s advisable to book in time.
